What does it take to put a robot to work on the outside of a skyscraper? Ido Genosar, co-founder and CEO of Verobotics, talks with Kim Isenberg and Peter Thum about robots that clean and inspect building facades, the economics of working at height, and what it takes to turn a pilot into a service customers will pay for.
They get into the details that rarely make it into a robotics demo: changing light, different building surfaces, deployment crews, and proving which parts of a facade have actually been covered. Ido also explains what the robots collect as they work, why field experience is hard to copy, and why a robot doing this job doesn’t need to look like a person.
